One of two drawings of peasant boys in Birmingham's collection, inscribed with the various materials of the model's clothing. This was probably a life drawing done on one of Burne-Jones's first two trips to Italy in 1859 and 1862. It may have been worked on his return to London.

Purchased and presented by subscribers, 1903.
