Notes | A study for the final painting in the series of seven canvases illustrating 'The Story of St George' for the dining room of the artist Myles Birket Foster, at Witley, Surrey.
One of thirteen studies for this subject in Birmingham's collection. The pose here is close to the final version, except that her head is in profile.
The final painting is now in the collection of Bristol City Art Gallery.
