Notes

In 1813 the East India Company lost its trading monopoly and by 1834 it had become a managing agency for the British Government in India. The last issues carrying the name of the East India Company were all produced by Heaton's Birmingham Mint except for the 1860 issue of 1/4 annas, dated 1858, which was produced by James Watt.
