This copper token depicts the Old meeting House. It is one of a set with views of Birmingham issued by Peter Kempson in 1797.The Old Meeting house was situated off Worcester Street, Birmingham. It was built in 1689. During the 1791 Riots, the building was destroyed but rebuilt later in a Classical style. The Old Meeting house was eventually demolished to make way for New Street Station.
