A child's sliding pencil case made from beech. It was made in Bavaria, Germany.This pencil case has a transfer printed design commemorating an England v Scotland football match at Crystal Palace . The box has 3 sliding trays and the only difference between it and modern versions is that it can be locked. Edward Pinto, who collected this pencil case remembers having one when he was a child. It cost him 6d (2p).
