Notes | Walter Keeler is one of the most inventive and influential potters working in Britain. He has developed immense skill in working with the speckled, textural effects of salt-glazes on stoneware. In its attention to detail and interpretation of established forms, his work reveals an awareness of historical precedent in English and European ceramic traditions. Since 1998 he has also been working in earthenware, using glazes particularly influenced by Whieldon ware and eighteenth century creamwares. | Presented by West Midlands Arts. |
