30th Friday August 1929'Yesterday evening and this evening I went out and made a drawing of 'The Old dolphin' public house on the Warwick Road. The time I had was rather limited as we are still working over at the shop'.8th Sunday September 1929'Another hot sunny summer like day. I went out in the morning to complete the Old Dolphin Sketch'.Tuesday 8th July 1930'We had a walk into the Village - and noticed that the old inn known as 'The Dolphin' and which I sketched last year had been pulled down - not a trace remained'.
