Notes

This photograph is one of a series of 44 monochrome photographic self-portraits from a project organised by Derek Bishton, Brian Homer and John Reardon. A makeshift studio was set up in Grove Lane, Handsworth. People from the local community were invited to create their own lasting record of a moment in time on the streets of 1970s Handsworth. A motor-driven 35 mm camera, fixed to a tripod, was operated by means of a long cable release.

Purchased from Ten 8 Ltd.
