Notes

This cast glass sculpture by David Reekie is part of a series of sculptures entitled 'Living in Confined Spaces'. The title of the series was inspired by Reekie's 'sense of the ever-increasing restrictions we place upon ourselves. The food we eat, the way we think, our notions of physical and political space are all in some ways becoming more limited'.

Purchased with assistance from the National Art Collections Fund, the MGC/VandA Purchase Grant Fund and the Friends of Birmingham Museums and Art Gallery.
