The term 'Famille Rose' refers to the glaze and means 'the pink family' and describes the use of pink enamel.
The front of this vase is decorated with images of peaches. In Chinese culture, peaches symbolise long life. There are two bats on the back of the vase. Chinese people regard bats as a symbol of good luck and fortune.
