This figure is most likely to be Guan Yu (160-219), a general during The Three Kingdoms period in Chinese history. Guan Yu was a famous hero under the warlord Liu Bei. He played an important part in the civil war, helping Liu Bei become the first emperor of the Kingdom of Shu. Guan Yu is regarded as the epitome of loyalty and righteousness.
