A skilled designer and craftsman Chris Knight prefers to let the functionality of an object express itself through his work: 'a vessel will express containment, a spout will be exulted for the way it pours, a handle for the way it is held', rather than be obscured by decorative embellishment.
After studying in England, Knight spent two years working as a Designer Goldsmith of exclusive jewellery in America. On his return he continued his studies and after graduating established a studio in London, which he relocated to Sheffield in 1995.
